AR is linking the physical world, to digital data.
That absolutely should include audio as well as text and 3d.
It really hasnt got enough attention, which is a shame seeing as how achivable it is.
---
Anyway, nice post, love that photo of our buisness card!

I hope I can help push the ar/wave project forward to enable games and apps to be developed faster.

Thanks for posting this summary Tish. I would have REALLY like to have been a part of this but will do my best to catch up on the video and written summaries that so many have posted.

My interest in AR relates specifically to the idea that was likely mention with this posted subject: -what about voice recognition as input – multimodal (ARXML voice protocol?)

And probably not just voice-rec but expanding audio insight/intelligence by using mobile AR devices (like my new droid).

While most imagine AR being a small screen that shares data layers visually depending on your interest/mood/etc., I can "see" the need for an audio channel (via your bluetooth or earphones) that allows us to hear details about where we are, what we are doing, what can't we see that we should know or some greater level of audio intelligence based upon the conversations we're having or hearing. I can imagine dozens of scenarios, but for the time being I can't even find an RSS reader that will read headlines to me while I drive to work...

Anyway, thanks for this very important post and your highly helpful blog!
